While red plaid is an iconic rock motif, it can sometimes come across as immature or adolescent. In an era like this, I wanted to create something that encourages you to stick to your own aesthetic and remain steadfastly independent. To that end, I have incorporated lace, a motif associated with aristocracy, along with elements of ruggedness, placed somewhat subtly, while basing the overall silhouette on the garments of monks or priests. This piece was created with the hope that it would embody a variety of aesthetics.
